Description

Currently, TXM uses different writing conventions to display and export floating point numbers:
  • use current locale settings (?) to display floating point numbers in results;
  • use points (.) to separate decimals in floating point numbers when exporting results.
This violates two GUI conventions:
  • homogeneity of interfaces (between display and export);
  • compatibility between tools sharing a same locale (TXM and Calc).

New feature: TXM should use the same settings for DISPLAY and EXPORT: use current locale settings to format floating point numbers when displaying results and when exporting them.

Possible related features:
  • a new preference called 'Use current locale for export' can be created to ask explicitly (or not) for that behavior;
  • a new preference called 'Use locale X for export' can be created to ask expicitly to use a specific locale for export.
