Description
Under Mac OS X:
- the 'Encodings' menu is too narrow to be able to read the available encodings. For example all the windows encodings are only displayed as 'windows-'. So it is impossible to select 'windows-1252' for example.
- In the font field there is no "default" value. When the user has selected an encoding, she doesn't know how to unselect any encoding
Solution¶
- ask for a larger window to display the menu or add some spaces to the right of the encodings values strings.
- add a <default> entry at the beginning of the 'Encodings' menu.
