Description

Some R messages are not visible in the TXM R Console :

Fontconfig error: Cannot load default config file
Fontconfig warning: ignoring UTF-8: not a valid region tag

Diagnostic

  • Are the messages displayed in stderr ? if yes, is the stream redirected to TXM R Console or TXM Console ?

I wonder if these errors (related to cairo) are generated by R or by the system. Anyway these errors/warnings don't appear in TXM.
Step to reproduce:
- install R 3.1.0 for Mac OS X
- run R
- execute:

svg()
plot(5,5)

- it will generate the above warning and error in the terminal where R has been launched
